C-Falls powers past Frenchtown
FRENCHTOWN — Easton Brooks led a very balanced Columbia Falls attack with 11 points, and the Wildcats made a big third-quarter lead hold up for a 60-52 non-conference boys basketball win Thursday.
Jory Hill, Reggie Sapa and Grady Hutton all added 10 points for Columbia Falls. The Wildcats hit nine 3-pointers over the middle two quarters — three by Bjorn Pedersen and two each from Sapa and Hill — to turn a 14-11 deficit into a 47-30 lead.
Frenchtown cut the gap to seven points in the fourth quarter but got no closer. Hank Smith had a game-high 20 points for the Broncs.
Cooper Ross added nine points and nine boards for the Cats.

WHITEFISH — Carson Gulick led four Whitefish players in double figures with 15 points, and the Bulldogs downed Eureka in non-conference play.
CJ Thew added 14 points, Will Sisson had 13 and Cooper Dudley 10 for the Bulldogs. Dudley and Thew hit two 3-pointers each.
Kyler Kossman had 20 points for Eureka, and Cole Sartori hit three 3-pointers on the way to 11 points for the Lions. Tyce Van Order’s 16 points included two threes.

SOMERS — Jon Dannic scored 19 points and the Flathead Valley Crusaders pulled away in the second half to beat Troy.
Patrick Bonner added 16 points and Grant Kenney 12 for the winners and combined for 17 points after halftime as built on a 27-26 advantage at intermission.
Carson Orr had 14 points for Troy. Kempton Sloan and Emerson Downey added 11 each for the Trojans. Downey hit three 3-pointers.
