Balanced Capital offense downs Glacier boys

HELENA — The Capital Bruins had three different players reach double figures and maintained a lead throughout the game, to beat the Glacier Wolfpack 56-44 Saturday afternoon. 

Brenton Belzer led all scorers with 14 points, Landon Lenang added 13, including three 3-pointers and Conor Tolvonen chipped in 12. The only player to reach double figures for the Wolfpack was Asher Knopik, who finished with 10. 

The Bruins were able to score inside the arc, hitting 17 2-point field goals compared to the Wolfpack’s 12.  

Liam Ells scored seven for the Pack, with Easton Kastelitz adding eight, six of them coming beyond the three-point line. Cooper Pelc had five, including a three as the Wolfpack outshot the Bruins from beyond the arc. 

Glacier will continue their road trip with a road matchup against Missoula Big Sky on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
