Law roundup: Man allegedly harassed via restraining order
A man alleged that his neighbor was harassing him via a temporary restraining order “because he is a Trump supporter.” He complained the neighbor, whom he called a “left-wing nutjob,” would continually call law enforcement on him. He then complained that he was “not getting the response he wants” from the Kalispell Police Department and wanted to speak to a Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy. An officer provided him with guidance such as petitioning the court and obtaining a temporary restraining order himself.
Police received a report of a “thief on the roof” of a building when an employee allegedly spotted a 35- to 40-year-old man wiggling a glass door, trying to get inside. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the alleged prowler.
Someone reportedly saw a couple yelling at each other when the woman swung at a man and he fell down on the bike path by a blue train. The woman allegedly told officers her boyfriend was holding a knife when he slipped on the ice, stabbing himself in the hip with the 5-inch blade. One of the people involved said he was trying to show the knife to someone when it happened.
