CHAI POACHED PEAR
In winter, we crave warm, rich and aromatic foods that nourish both our bodies and our souls. This recipe satisfies those cold-weather cravings while aligning with the healthy intentions many of us embrace in January after the holiday season.
This fruit dessert is light, tasty and healthy all at once. We start by making a rich spiced chai tea sweetened with maple and apricot nectar, then slowly simmer fresh pears until tender. I like to serve it with a blend of sour cream and whole milk yogurt, infused with cardamom, vanilla, almond and a splash of honey.
