Olivia Gibbons and Madeleine McGaughy set personal bests as the Glacier girls took the team title at Saturday’s BravePack swim meet at the Summit.

Gibbons dropped three seconds off her previous best in the 100-yard breaststroke and McGaughy dropped two-tenths off her record in the 50 freestyle.

“Liv swam last season with a torn ACL, so that record was from her sophomore year,” coach Karen Bouda said. “It's really incredible, how she's come back so strong.”

The Wolfpack topped the standings with 295 points, besting Whitefish (273) and Bigfork (172). The Flathead girls finished sixth with 10 points.

Glacier earned first place finishes in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Polson’s boys team took the team victory with 309 points, Glacier finished second with 157 points. Columbia Falls placed third at 153 and Flathead in fourth with 117.

The Wolfpack earned a win in the 200 freestyle thanks to Ed McNeil,

Kieler Fieldhouse took second in the 100 freestyle for Glacier and third in the 100 backstroke.

Flathead’s Miles Flake finished second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 100 freestyle.

"These 2 have been training together, both are captains,” Bouda said. “We practice together and score as individual schools. So, we really don't distinguish between the schools until we're at a meet.  Our motto is, 'One town, one team, one Brave Pack.' “
