Vikings stun Bulldogs with second-half rally
BIGFORK — Treker Hickey scored 20 points and Alex Ochs hit three huge fourth-quarter 3-pointers as Bigfork rallied past Whitefish 58-51 Thursday in Northwest A boys basketball.
Austin Savik added 16 points for the Vikings (4-7 overall, 2-3 in Northwest A games), who trailed 36-21 at halftime and 45-25 after Carson Gulick scored for Whitefish at 5:42 of the third quarter. The Bulldogs didn’t score the rest of the period and Hickey scored eight points as Bigfork pared the gap to 45-37.
In the fourth quarter Ochs hit a 3-pointer from the wing to bring Bigfork to 47-44 at the 4:22 mark; he added carbon-copy corner threes as 3:45 and 2:40 as the Vikings took a 50-47 lead.
Hickey, who had 15 points after halftime, hit a three to put Bigfork up 53-48 with 1:15 left. Will Sisson answered to bring the Bulldogs to 53-51, but they got no closer.
Gulick and Sisson had 10 points each for Whitefish (3-6, 0-4). Sisson, Cooper Dudley and Ryan Conklin all hit two threes.

POLSON — Cooper Ross hit six 3-pointeres, three in the second quarter, and scored 20 points t lead the Wildcats to the Northwest A win over Polson.
Columbia Falls hit 12 3-pointers in the game, with Grady Hutton hitting a pair. Ross’ second-quarter flurry helped the Cats (9-2 overall, 4-1 in the Northwest A) built a 34-16 halftime lead. Bjorn Pedersen and Reggie Sapa added nine points each for the visitors.
Malakai Curley led the Pirates (6-5, 3-2 in league) with 14.
