The Swan River School Board of Trustees estimates the following increases/decreases in revenues and mills for the funds noted below for the next school fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025, using certified taxable valuations from the current school fiscal year as provided to the district. Transportation Fund: Estimated change in revenues: $3,400 increase. Estimated change in Mills: 0.33 increase. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0.44 increase, and on a home of $200,000 is a $0.89increase. Tuition Fund: Estimated change in revenues: $52,921 increase. Estimated change in Mills: $5.12 increase. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $6.92 increase, and on a home of $200,000 is a $13.83 increase. Building Reserve Fund: Estimated change in revenues: $-330 decrease. Estimated change in Mills: 0.03 decrease. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0.04 decrease, and on a home of $200,000 is an $0.09 decrease. Impacts above are based on current certified taxable valuations from the current school fiscal year. The listed information are estimates. If it becomes evident during the budgeting process that increases/decreases are different or not necessary, then Swan River School Board of Trustees will make the changes accordingly. Regarding the increase in the building reserve levy referenced above, the following are school facility maintenance and building projects anticipated for future years for Marion School Buildings. Regarding the increase in the tuition levy referenced above is a result of HB203.
