Kathleen Ott, 81
Kathleen Ott, 81, was born in Roundup in 1943. Her dad's job with the railroad moved the family to Franklin/Ryegate. She attended high school in Ryegate, where she met her husband, Jim. She loved science and attended two years of college.
Jim and Kathleen married and worked on the ranch. They had four daughters. Kathleen enjoyed working at the school with her friend Kay in the lunchroom. As the kids got older, Kathleen began working at the courthouse with her friend Aileen and eventually became the clerk and recorder for the county.
Kathleen spent countless hours attending all the activities that her girls were involved in. 4-H was one of her favorite ones. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and tatting (a lost art, for sure).
She then attended the many events of her grandchildren. After selling the ranch and moving to Kalispell, Kathleen did a lot more Sudoku but could still be found attending her grandkids' events. Family was always a priority for her and Jim.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughters Janine, Kim, Jodi, and Karyn (Brenden); her 10 grandchildren, of whom she is extremely proud and grateful; many great-grandchildren; and her brother, Ed (Shirley).
