Two boys flagged down a Columbia Falls Police officer on patrol, asking them to play basketball. The officer obliged, taking a few shots at the children's basketball hoop and gave them stickers before carrying on.

Someone heard a woman scream “Don’t — stop,” and a man yelled back at her. The person believed they drove off but did not see the vehicle.

A nursing home employee went outside for a late afternoon break and their peace and quiet was interrupted by a man yelling at seagulls, who then removed his shoes and laid down on the grass in sleeping bag. Kalispell Police Department officers moved him along.

A man allegedly threw a bunch of $1 bills in a lobby, saying he was giving away free money because it was St. Patrick’s Day.

A 1990s Chevy Blazer in a parking lot reportedly almost hit a pedestrian and said, “Next time I’ll just hit you.” The pedestrian wanted an officer to counsel the driver and did not wish to pursue charges.

A man was allegedly destroying his property outside his apartment in the parking lot and got into a verbal argument with another man over the noise. One of the men thought the other had a gun and said he was going to get a hammer, but instead locked himself in his apartment while the other man called the police claiming he tried to hit him with the hammer. Frustrated with dispatch’s questions, he started yelling and hung up. He called a couple more times and said he was “legally allowed to kill somebody if they attacked him” and that, “I will kill them in self-defense if I need to.” After all the back-and-forth, he wouldn't answer the door and talk to the police.
