| March 21, 2025 12:00 AM

Quiana Paige Cundall, 19, passed away on March 11, 2025 after a six-year battle with Ewing Sarcoma.

Quiana was born June 1, 2005 in Great Falls. At the age of 1, she moved with her family to Macdoel, Calif. As the oldest of three children, she was always busy helping her mother and caring for her brothers. Quiana loved everything about farm life from planting flowers in the spring to countless hours in the tractor with Dad. Quiana's caring and compassionate nature led to her first babysitting job at the age of 10.

Starting in 2010 she attended Butte Valley Elementary, later switching to Hosanna/Crosspoint Christian School where she played basketball. Quiana graduated from Crosspoint in 2023 with a 4.0 grade point average. After graduating she started the process of obtaining her real estate license.

Influenced by her older cousins, she began showing pigs as one of her 4-H projects when she was 9 years old, it quickly became her passion. The Tulelake Butte Valley Fair was the highlight of her year. After winning showmanship several years in a row, her little brother unseated her and won the belt buckle. When asked how she felt about losing to her brother she replied, "It's OK, I taught him everything he knows."

Quiana was an excellent pig showman and competed in many jackpots and national shows. Quiana's summers were spent playing with her brothers, training pigs, attending pig shows and driving tractor. When fall came she never missed her little brother's football games. She was their biggest fan! In the spring, she spent her time checking cows and tending to any calf that needed attention.

Although her life was way too short, she made every day count. No matter how she was feeling she showed up. She had a passion for life and was thankful for each day!

Quiana is survived by her parents, Josh and Ellen Cundall; brothers, Trapper and Baylon; grandparents, Jerry and Sherma Cundall of Glendo, Wyo., and Duane and Janette Braaten of Kalispell; aunts and uncles, Jeston (Sharee) Cundall, Jade (Molly) Cundall, Cheyenne (Jim) Garrison, Hugh (Carmen) Braaten, Logan (Elissa) Braaten and Ken (Lichen) Braaten as well as many cousins and friends.

The service will be held at the Tulelake Butte Valley Fairgrounds, Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. Livestream of the service should be available on Ellen Cundall's Facebook page.  A memorial fund in Quiana's name will be set up to support competitive livestock events and the youth involved.
