Law roundup: Uncle can’t get away from family baggage

A man’s nephew allegedly punched him at the airport baggage claim in Kalispell. He told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office they just happened to be on the same flight and he had a temporary restraining order against his relative. 

Someone reportedly called deputies Monday on behalf of a friend who lost an envelope containing $28,000 in cash in Kalispell. The caller said they were going to buy a truck for their son and the friend set the envelope on top of their car. They said the envelope had the friend’s information on it if it was turned in. 

A man in aisle two was spotted stuffing crackers and cookies into his pants. 

A Bigfork woman thought someone broke into her shed when she found the door ajar, saying it had been locked for seven years.  

A husky and a Labrador retriever were chasing cows and calves in a Kalispell field. 

A dog on private property was reportedly attacked by two other canines, requiring extensive medical treatment. 

A Kalispell resident was allegedly scammed into paying $10,000 by someone claiming the money was to get his son out of jail who, in actuality, wasn’t in trouble at all. 

A truck reportedly started driving away while still attached to a gas pump in Kalispell.
