That's one way to drop a call

A nanny at a park allegedly watched a box truck catch what turned out to be phone line and the driver just kept going, ripping it down.

Someone at Thompson Park reportedly got an uneasy feeling after seeing neighborhood children talking to a bald thin man in a white panel van and yelled at them to stop. The man, who looked to be in his 40s, allegedly waved and drove away. The children said he was looking for a dog. 

A woman reportedly called the Kalispell Police Department on behalf of her sister, saying someone kept ordering pizzas in her sister’s name and having it delivered to their house. She added that a locksmith allegedly tried unlocking her sister’s car without asking. 

A man called the police allegedly wanting to get the OK to go door-to-door selling garage doors. 

A tall skinny woman in her 20s reportedly grabbed four boxes of shoes from a store and ran off. The store manager told officers a vehicle in the parking lot had a dash camera that recorded the shoplifting spree. 

Someone called officers for advice regarding co-parenting with their estranged wife. An officer answered the caller’s questions, advising them to get a parenting plan in place and possibly a temporary restraining order. 

A woman allegedly went to the Police Department wanting to make a report about “crimes against minors,” saying she had new evidence she wanted to bring in to them. 

A maintenance employee spotted four youths fighting at a location under the gaze of a fifth youth, who had a pistol on his hip. 

A man alleged a hotel stole money from him when he paid cash at 3 a.m. and was told he could get change in the morning but did not and received a forged receipt. He also alleged that the hotel had bedbugs. 

A man with a buzzcut, who was wearing an Army jacket, was reportedly acting oddly on the roadside and quickly reached into his waistband, striking fear into a driver who sped off as he tried to throw what she thought was a knife at her vehicle. Nothing hit her vehicle, but officers had a suspect in mind based on her description. Officers located the man and counseled him on his behavior.
