Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., is thanked by Jamie Williams, director of the Northern Rockies Nature Conservancy, for his role in the purchase of 320,000 acres of Plum Creek Timber Co. land. The land deal, known as the Montana Legacy Project, was announced at a press conference at Lone Pine State Park near Kalispell.
