Gordy Emmert uses an excavator to pull out burned portions of a home at 210 E. Bowman Lane north of Kalispell on Wednesday afternoon. The house belonging to Thomas and Michelle Shaffer caught fire on Jan. 10. A three-car garage, loft bedroom and laundry room were lost in the fire. It will take approximately four to six months before the home is ready to be occupied again.
