Creston firefighter Tracy Wildes-Mayhood sprays down the garage from the roof of a home near Creston Sunday afternoon. Creston, Bad Rock and Evergreen firefighters responded to a garage fire at 2 p.m. Sunday that spread to part of a home at 405 Cayuse Lane. Three people were treated for minor injuries and smoke inhalation; all were released by Sunday evening. A dog and cat died in the fire.

Garage burns near Creston
A garage and house caught fire near Creston Sunday afternoon, destroying the garage and part of the house, causing extensive smoke and heat damage to the house and sending three people to the hospital.
