U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke, R-Mont., shakes the hand of Daryl Russell of Whitefish after presenting him with a Vietnam War veteran pin on Thursday morning at Flathead Valley Community College. Russell reached the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopter pilot. Russell was one of around 200 Vietnam veterans who attended the pinning ceremony. An additional dozen pins were given to people on behalf of veterans who could not be there. Zinke previously held pinning ceremonies in Billings and Great Falls. More cites are being considered and will be announced later in June. (Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)
