In spite of the three fires currently burning in Glacier National Park there were still long lines of visitors at the West Glacier entry on Monday, August 13. Several of those entering the park got to the guard station, and turned around to leave when they learned they could not go passed Apgar on account of the current fire conditions.(Brenda Ahearn/Daily Inter Lake)

Historic cabins burn in Glacier blaze
Glacier National Park officials have confirmed that a number of structures were lost Sunday night as wind and extreme fire conditions caused the Howe Ridge Fire to swell to well over 1,500 acres.
