Seen here, in the turbine gallery of Hungry Horse Dam, is the shaft of one of the four 105,000 horsepower turbines which drove the generators when the dam was completed. McVay flipped the switch to begin power generation
Pat McVay, 98, had a very noteworthy job when Hungry Horse Dam was finally ready for power generation. He was the worker who flipped the switch to start the first generator.
