The media prepares for the preliminary hearing of the captain of the Viking Sigyn river cruiser in the Hableany case in Pest Central District Court in Budapest, Hungary, Wednesday, March 11, 2020. The Hableany sightseeing boat carrying 33 South Korean tourists and two Hungarian staff was sunk by the Viking Sigyn cruise ship on the Danube in central Budapest on May 29, 2019. Seven South Koreans survived, the others died. The Ukrainian boat captain has been charged with fatal negligence and failing to provide assistance to persons in danger in connection with the collision. The prosecution proposed a nine-year prison sentence and a nine-year ban on piloting boats on condition that the accused admitted guilt and waived his right to a trial. The accused rejected the deal and refused to testify. (Tamas Kovacs/MTI via AP)
