Candles are set up on a balcony in Versailles, Wednesday, March 25, 2020. France's bishops called for Catholics and non-Catholics alike to take part in Wednesday's candle-lighting, in a shared "prayer for the dead, the sick and their loved ones, for all the medical personnel and all those who make the life of our country possible." The new coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms for most people, but for some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness or death.
