FILE - In this Dec. 14, 2019 file photo, jailed Taliban pray inside the Pul-e-Charkhi Jail, in Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghanistan’s largest prison, Pul-e-Charkhi, was built in the 1970s to house 5,000 prisoners but now holds 10,500. In some cells in Afghanistan, Iran, Egypt, Syria and other countries in the Middle East, prisoners are crammed in by the dozens, with little access to hygiene or medical care. So if one infection gets in, the novel coronavirus could run rampant. (AP Photo/Rahmat Gul, File)
