The world premiere of the Flathead Valley produced feature film "Useless," directed by Josiah Burdick, will be shown at 8:33 p.m. Saturday Oct. 3, at the Bigfork Independent Film Festival.
The story: When Jessie's mom dies suddenly in a car accident, her entire world is turned upside down. Taken in by her aunt and uncle, she struggles to discover what life is like without her best friend. Entering a new school, she clings to the one connection she still has with her mom — barrel racing. Undeterred by her aunt's mysterious distaste for the  sport, she pursues her dream and her love for horses, and gains the  family she never had.
Director Josiah Burdick is a writer and a director living here in the Flathead Valley. He runs a production company called Fearless Pictures, where he creates corporate videos for organizations all around the world.
