Montana attorney general's office hires outside legal help

The office of Montana's attorney general has hired outside legal help — at a cost of up to $120,000 this year — to oversee about 40 civil cases, many of which challenge bills passed in 2021 by the Republican-controlled Legislature.

Montana joins lawsuit challenging vaccine mandate for Head Start employees

Montana has joined 23 other states in asking a federal judge to permanently and temporarily stop the Biden administration vaccine and mask mandates for Head Start and Early Head Start students, employees and staff, according to a press release from Attorney General Austin Knudsen’s office.
