Logan Health nurses who sought to break ties with their union amid a contentious three-day labor strike have withdrawn their petition with the National Labor Relations Board.
Kalispell Regional unionized nurses vote to strike if contract not reached
Kalispell Regional Healthcare/Logan Health nurses affiliated with the Service Employees International Union Healthcare 1199NW have voted to authorize a three-day unfair labor practice strike "if hospital management continues to refuse to bargain in good faith," according to a press release issued Wednesday morning.
Nurses union, hospital managers deadlocked on contract
Kalispell Regional Healthcare nurses and Flathead Valley residents picketed at the hospital's main campus Tuesday in an effort to push hospital management to bargain in good faith and settle an initial contract with the nurses union — a process that has proven challenging as the parties seem to be at a stalemate on various economic issues.
