Whitefish Middle School eighth-grader Teagan Chisholm (pictured left) won the 2023 Flathead County Spelling Bee with the word “ricochet.” Columbia Falls Junior High sixth-grader Clara Patton placed second (middle), followed by Hedges Elementary School fifth-grader Lennan O’Connor in third. All three head to the state spelling bee at 1 p.m. March 11 at Montana State University in Bozeman.
