Services for Recycling Containers are contracted out by the County of Flathead Solid Waste District, hereinafter referred to as the District. 2. The District Invites Qualified Proposers to Submit a Sealed RFP To: Flathead County Solid Waste District Response to Recycling Container Sites RFP Attention: Mr. David R. Prunty, Director of Public Works Flathead County Solid Waste District 4098 Highway 93 North Kalispell, MT 59901 3. Proposals will be received until the hour of 11:00 A.M, Wednesday, October 16, 2019, the "Proposal Submission Date", after which the RFPs will be opened. The work under this contract is generally described as follows: FLATHEAD COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISTRICT RECYCLING CONTAINER SITE SERVICES The Work will generally consist of: Providing regular pick-up and replacement with empty containers; Processing and marketing of the recyclables; Providing records of the amount and types of materials recycled; and Maintaining a staffed phone line for calls from the District. 4. A copy of the RFP can be obtained from the District office or the Flathead County web site under Solid Waste Documents. 5. The Contract will be for a period of three years and two one-year options after Notice to Proceed. The District will adjust the pricing on the anniversary date of the contract based on the annual average indices (December to December). Note: This may result is the contract price being adjusted up or down based on the CPI Index data. 6. The current Contract Document may be examined at the District office, located at 4098 Highway 93 North, Kalispell, MT 59901. 7. Questions regarding the RFP will be accepted in writing until four calendar days before bids are due. The District will respond to all questions within two days of receipt of question. 8. Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with the requirements of this Request for Proposals document. Proposals shall be prepared using forms furnished in Attachment A of this RFP. 9. The District reserves the right to waive irregularities in any Proposal, and to reject any and all Proposals. No Proposal received and read by the District may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of opening thereof.
