While conducting a traffic stop Friday on U.S. 93, Ronan police arrested a 25-year-old man wanted in Alaska on suspicion of murder and attempted murder. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and taken to the Lake County jail, where he is being held pending extradition. Officers initiated the stop after observing the man driving erratically.

Whitefish police arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving at the VFW parking lot early Sunday morning.

Kalispell Fire Department checked out a smoke smell that turned out to be an electrical problem on U.S. 93 near Lowe's. Kalispell and Creston fire departments and Montana Highway Patrol went to a vehicle accident on Foothills Road. Kalispell, Evergreen Fire Department and Highway Patrol were needed at a four-vehicle accident with injuries on East Evergreen Drive Tuesday.
