Surveying storm damage
Sandy Goodwin holds a swaddled miniature dachshund while looking at her maple tree that was damaged in Tuesday's snowstorm. Goodwin said nine branches snapped on the tree in front of her home along North Riding Road in Kalispell. She planted it 25 years ago and said she has "babied this tree" through the years.
Flathead County
A hungry 25-foot, 80- to 90-pound python went missing Saturday afternoon on Foothill Road, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office said. The snake was found.
Whitefish police
Whitefish police made three arrests within half an hour, beginning at about 2 a.m. Saturday. A 29-year-old Whitefish man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief. A 25-year-old Whitefish man who urinated in public was arrested for disturbing the peace. A Canadian man was arrested for obstructing an officer.
