Myrna Rusty Ruth, 79, passed away when all her prayers were answered on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Lake View Care Center in Bigfork. Rusty is survived by her daughter, Robyn Rhodes, of Kalispell; and a son, Scott Ruth, of San Jose, Calif. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Lake View Care Center in Bigfork. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.

A 25-year-old woman told Kalispell police she was raped late Friday night. Police have arrested one man, but the case still is under investigation.

The 25 by 15 foot American flag at Super 1 Foods in Columbia Falls was blown out to full extension in six mile per hour winds on Wednesday afternoon, July 15. The flag, which weighs 22 pounds and is made of 375 square feet of material was made by Annin Flagmakers of New Jersey the largest and oldest, established in 1847, flag manufacturers in the country. Pipers Prepare for Saint Patrick's Day

Rob Eberhardy, base drummer for the Montana Highlanders, takes part in a full dress rehearsal on Monday night at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell. The traditional pipe band will be participating in the annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday at 4 p.m. Later that day they will perform at Nickel Charlie's at 5:25, at Del's Bar in Somers at 6, and at Tall Pine in Bigfork at 730.
