Latin jazz ensemble celebrates 25 years in Flathead Valley
Cocinando, the Flathead Valley’s 13-member Latin jazz orchestra, kicks off its summer schedule at the Stonefly Lounge, Saturday at 9 p.m. The show will mark 25 years of band performances, including stops throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Logjam Presents announces summer concerts at Kettlehouse
Nine-time Grammy Award recipient Sheryl Crow, an American music icon, performs live Sunday, June 25, at the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Bonner. Crow’s first nine studio albums have sold 35 million copies worldwide; seven of them charted in the Top 10 and five were certified for Multi-Platinum sales. In addition to such No. 1 hits as “All I Wanna Do,” “Soak Up the Sun” and “The First Cut Is the Deepest,” Crow has lofted 40 singles into the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40 and Hot Country Songs charts, with more No. 1 singles in the Triple A listings than any other female artist.

Karen Jean Shepard, formerly of Kalispell, was born to Jean and Lloyd Crowell on Nov. 25, 1942, in Detroit Lakes, Minn. She unexpectedly "went to be with the Lord" on Jan. 12, 2009.

Dustin "Dusty" Drown, 25, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009, following an accident in Manhattan.He was born in Kalispell on Sept. 20, 1983, to Frank Drown and Denise (Potts' Belt. 4th arrest in Creston disturbance
A fourth person has been arrested in connection with an Oct. 25 disturbance at a Creston home in which two men allegedly shot at responding deputies.
