Woods Bay assailant sought
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who assaulted another man near the Raven Bar in Woods Bay at about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday morning. The suspect is described as a Native American man in his early 20s, 5-foot-7, 150 pounds, with short unkempt black hair. Before law enforcement arrived on scene, the suspect took off southbound on Montana 35 toward Polson in a small white car with a loud exhaust. The suspect was accompanied by a white man and a Native American woman, both in their early 20s. The victim was taken by ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center where he remains hospitalized with significant injuries. Polson man charged with murder in Colorado
A Polson man residing in Aurora, Colorado, was taken into custody Sunday morning and charged with first-degree murder following the death of a 20-year-old woman, also of Polson.

Trinity Joseph Palmerton Jr., son of Tracey and Trinity Palmerton of Kalispell, was born Aug. 31 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
He weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
