Flathead County will soon commence a project to complete consulting services for the Flathead County Adult Detention Facility. Beverly Irene Brown Gilley, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell. “She now joins her husband of 53 years in heaven.”
Judith Judy Louise Hadlock, 68
Judith Judy Louise Hadlock, 68, of Columbus, died Sept. 25, 2010, at Billings Clinic after knee replacement surgery. Judy was born June 6, 1942, in Phoenix. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1960 and then earned both her bachelor s and master s degrees in education from Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University, respectively. Judy married Gary Austin Hadlock in 1964 at First Baptist Church of Phoenix where she was a member. The Hadlocks moved to Montana in 1971 and had two children. Judy was a teacher for a total of 34 years. The bulk of her teaching career was at Bigfork, where she taught Title One reading at the elementary school, as well English and math at the senior high. She had a positive impact on many of her students and was instrumental in helping many of her students graduate from high school. She commuted to Bigfork from Kalispell where she lived with her family for 27 years. After her retirement in 1998, she moved to Columbus to be near her daughter who is a resident at the Special K Ranch. She was highly involved with Special Olympics, Awana and Samaritan s Purse, and recently became involved with Mothers of Preschoolers as a mentor mom. Two weeks before her passing she attended the 50th reunion of her high school class in Phoenix. Judy lived out her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior throughout her life as demonstrated by her involvement in church and community. She enjoyed traveling and took many trips to different parts of the United States and Canada. Most recently, she went to Florida to visit her only grandchild. Judy is survived by husband, Gary; sisters, Emily and Cecilia; children, James and Deborah; daughter-in-law, Jill; and granddaughter, Hannah.
