Helen Otten Konshur, 74

Helen Otten Konshur, 74, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Lake View Care Center in Bigfork, after succumbing to Alzheimer s disease. She was born on Oct. 9, 1935, in Plentywood, the youngest of 12 children to Otto B. and Minnie (Bohlken) Otten. Helen went to school in Lookout and moved to Plentywood when she married Douglas Konshur on Sept. 28, 1953. The couple moved to Kalispell in 1965 where they built and operated Timberline Lumber for over 25 years, before retiring to Apache Junction, Ariz., in 1992. They purchased Treasure Chest Granite Pit in Apache Junction, which they operated together until Helen s return to the Flathead Valley in 2001. She had a warm, loving and generous spirit and will be missed by many. Helen was preceded in death by Douglas. She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Sherman, of Bigfork; her son, William Konshur, of Libby; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Helen will be held at 3 p.m. today, Feb. 23, at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for Helen s family. Death was due to fall

Autopsy results reveal that Cody Johnson, 25, a Kalispell man missing for five days before his body was found in Glacier National Park, died in a fall.

Gloria J. Blake, 63, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, at St. Luke Hospital in Ronan. Gloria was born Oct. 25, 1942, in Richmond, Calif., to Kenneth and Ruby Christopher and she was raised in Arlee. She graduated from Arlee High School in 1960 and then attended Montana State University in Bozeman.

Edith N. Schultz passed away Feb. 25, 2006, in Whitefish. She was born June 8, 1918, one of 13 children of John A. and Anna (Olsen) Lien, in Alden, N.D., a town her father established. She lived in North Dakota until her parents passed away, and then moved to Seattle where she worked as a household manager and for Western Electric.

Betty Benware Scholz, 69, met Christ on Sept. 25, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 23, 1941, to Newton and Corneilia Thayer in South Dakota. She met Harold Scholz in 1980. Betty loved reading romance novels. She collected and made dolls. She especially loved all her grandchildren and being with family. Betty had the biggest heart and always did for everyone, and never expected anything for herself. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Mark; and several sisters. Betty is survived by her husband of 30 years, Harold Scholz; her children, Gordon Jr., Jeannie, Mike and Julie, Bob and Deahn, Tom, Scott, Jennifer, Eric and Christy, and Daniel and Tammy; her sisters, Ann Wharton, Toynet and Fred Wassberg, Marie and Dennis Duxbury, Vicky and Bruce Sanders, and Kathy and Lonnie Persons; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at noon today, Sept. 28, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home, 1890 U.S. 93 N., Kalispell (across from the Blue Cow).

Sheila Rae Isbell, 50, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at her home in Columbia Falls. She was born on June 25, 1959, in Vinton, Iowa, to Merle and Evelyn (McIntyre) Roths. Sheila received her early education in Vinton. She married John Dave Isbell in Vinton on Dec. 24, 1984. The couple eventually moved to the Flathead Valley, where Sheila worked as a machine operator at Top Copy Printing in Whitefish. She also operated her own business of House Cleaning and Reflexology. Sheila loved her husband, her dogs, the outdoors and just being your friend. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Roths. She is survived by her husband, Dave; stepson, Justin; her parents, Merle and Evelyn Roths of Vinton, Iowa; and a twin brother, Mike Roths of Stevensville. Memorial services for Sheila will be held on Wednesday, June 2, at 1 p.m. at Jesus Community Church in Stevensville, with Pastor Kelley McCormick officiating.
