Garnet Lucinda Minster, 46

Garnet Lucinda Minster passed away Monday, Aug. 2, 2010. She was born Aug. 20, 1963, in Orofino, Idaho, to Roy and Virginia Minster. Garnet was raised in Martin City and was a graduate of Columbia Falls High School. As an adult she worked at Flathead Industries. She was an ace at jigsaw puzzles, loved shoe shopping (at K-Mart), and totally enjoyed Mountain Dew and Snickers candy bars. Simple pleasures truly were the best. She resided at Willow Glen Group Home in Kalispell for many years and later moved to the Fourth Avenue Group Home in Kalispell. She spent her final days there. Garnet is survived by her siblings, Roy Minster of Palmer, Alaska, Joe Minster of Wenatchee, Wash., Debbie McCully of Trego, Dave Minster of Albuquerque, N.M., Becky Gould of Spokane, and Wes Minster of Bloomsburg, Pa.; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial services for Garnet will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
