Whitefish police discovered a malfunctioning power pole after somebody reported lights had been flashing at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course for 20 minutes shortly after midnight.

Columbia Falls police went to Seventh Street West, where a boy reported that his brother assaulted him with a baseball bat and numchucks. The 20-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault.
