Kalispell Police arrested nine people, most of them juveniles, at a party on the 200 block of West Washington Street late Saturday night.

Kalispell police arrested a 20-year-old Kalispell man on suspicion of drunken driving and for a hit-and-run accident on Third Avenue East early Sunday morning.
Firefighters get a handle on blazes
Kalispell Fire Department quickly extinguished a house fire in the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue East Friday at about 10:20 a.m. No one was hurt. Assistant Chief Brent Christopherson said it appears the fire started between a fireplace insert and a masonry chimney. There was damage to the living room, the attic and the fireplace area. The American Red Cross was called to help the family.
Whitefish police
arrested a 20-year-old man who was just released from prison on charges that could return him there if he is convicted. He is charged with violation of conditional release, assault, family-member assault, possession of drugs and paraphernalia, criminal mischief, and violation of a restraining order. He allegedly went to a motel and assaulted his girlfriend's girlfriend and his girlfriend, for whom there is a restraining order, and smashed a window on his way out. When he was arrested, he had drugs and paraphernalia on him, police said.

HAMILTON (AP) — A 73-year-old Missoula man who lost his Florence-area ranch in a 1979 divorce and spent more than 20 years in prison for intimidating judges, attorneys and others involved in the case is now charged with threatening to kidnap the current owners and showing up at the property.
