Columbia Falls police arrested a 27-year-old man for driving under the influence of alcohol on U.S. 93. It was his second arrest for that offense. He was also cited for driving without insurance and on a revoked license.

The Kalispell Fire Department had 17 calls. One was to a fire in a trash container Wednesday at Flathead Industries. Another was to a traffic accident Thursday on West Reserve Drive and U.S. 93; that accident involved a gas tanker truck and a Volkswagen Bug. The crew at South Kalispell Fire Department also was needed on Greenridge Drive, when someone fell from a horse Thursday morning.
