John J. Smithson, 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at his home in Kalispell. He was born in Chinook on Sept. 26, 1926, to Roy and Ora (Hamaker) Smithson. He was raised on the family ranch (North Slope Ranch) near Hogeland until age 20. He had four siblings, Louise, George, Jean and Bill.

Dorothy Ann Robinson, 80, of Helena "went to be with her Lord and Savior" on May 20, 2009, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family who helped her through her last journey. Dorothy was born on March 20, 1929, to Genevieve and Henry Pieper in Helena. She was the second oldest of three girls in the Pieper family. Dorothy was raised in Helena and lived nearly her entire life on Villard Avenue.
