Mark G. Anderson, 52
Mark G. Anderson, 52, passed away of natural causes Oct. 27, 2009. Mark was born on July 16, 1957, in Dallas. He graduated from Highland Park High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was a successful land developer and real estate appraiser, first in the Dallas area, then in Washington, D.C., before settling in Richmond, Va. After founding and retiring from ServiceMark Appraisal, Mark realized his longtime goal of building and living in his dream home overlooking Glacier National Park in Northwest Montana. Mark was a tireless advocate for responsibility in the appraisal industry, an avid collector and conversationalist, an animal lover and an outdoors enthusiast. Mark was predeceased by a brother, Karl G. Anderson III, and several beloved pets, including Bushka, Windy and Sasi. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Brown Anderson, of Cosby, Tenn.; his father, Karl G. Anderson Jr., and stepmother, B.J. Anderson, of Dallas; sisters, Laura Stockwell of Jacksonville, Vt., and Sara Anderson of Dallas; and cousins, Tommy Cromwell, Lyn Cromwell and Kelly Cromwell Clemons. Mark will also be missed by many supportive and loving friends and relatives. A private memorial service is scheduled with Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. Memorials may be made to any no-kill animal shelter or humane society.
