Whitefish police dealt with thefts in bulk Sunday night and Monday. The first came Sunday night at the Whitefish Mountain Mall, where somebody discovered his skateboard was missing. The group went looking for it and spotted it in the back of a Jeep parked at the Mountain Cinema. As events progressed, a woman who was in the theater caught wind that she and her friend were suspects, so she left the theater and moved the Jeep across the street in an attempt to hide it, police said. The ruse was foiled when the 20-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, both from Whitefish, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
