Thomas Clarence Perry, 90, of Kalispell, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at his residence in Kalispell. He was born May 30, 1918, in Kalispell to Thomas Samuel and Vesta Avis (Haines) Perry.

Lori Judge, 54, passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Edgewood Vista in Kalispell. She was born on April 6, 1956, in Missoula, the second of four children of Ritchey and Norma (Bell) Ostrom. As a young child, her family moved to Spokane, before ultimately settling in Kalispell for the rest of her school years. Growing up, she loved animals, art, skiing, traveling, family and friends. She was known for her great laugh and fun-loving spirit. Everyone was her friend. Upon graduation from high school, Lori followed her passion for art by attending Mesa Community College for a year. Lori married Ken Judge on Sept. 20, 1975, in Whitefish. In 1976, they moved to Mountain View, Calif., where Lori enrolled at Ponce School of Beauty in Sunnyvale, Calif. In July of 1977, they moved back to Montana, where Lori started her cosmetology career, which spanned 25 years and resulted in many long-lasting friendships. In addition, she and Ken raised three children, centering their lives on the kids activities. Between it all, she was still able to do some traveling with Ken and see many parts of the world. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Ritchey and Norma Ostrom; grandparents, Logan and Hazel Ostrom, and Hubert and Vionne Bell; and grandson, Shaun Judge. She is survived by her husband, Ken; sons, Loren and Brandon; daughter, Lindsey; grandchildren, Aiden and Maya; sisters, Cory and Lisa; brother, Logan; aunt and uncles, George and Iris Ostrom, John and Marion Emerson, and Dode Wolfe; and many cousins. There are no services planned at this time for Lori. The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to The Alzheimers Association, 3010 11th Avenue North, Billings, MT 59101-0726. Arthur Roy Carnes Jr., 93

Arthur Roy Carnes Jr., 93, passed away on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, of natural causes, at the family home in Kalispell. Arthur was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Des Moines, Iowa, and raised in Dixon, Ill. He attended schools in Dixon and graduated from Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Mo. Arthur married LaVaughn Helt in Huntsville, Ariz., in 1952. They had been married for 47 years. Arthur was in the 993rd Service Corps and helped build the Alaskan Highway. He also spent two years in China. He worked as a mail carrier in Illinois afterward, and was an aircraft machinist and engineer for 25 years. He spent the first half of his life in the Midwest until moving to Kalispell. Upon moving here, Arthur worked various jobs until his retirement. In 1973, together with his wife, Arthur started a new church which would become the Family Life Christian Center. They both supported many missionaries and Bible colleges also. Arthur enjoyed huckleberry picking with grandchildren and camping. He was one of the regulars at Sykes where he even had a reserved table. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur R. Carnes Sr., and Rhoda May Carnes; wife, LaVaughn Carnes; and stepbrother, Fenton Carnes. He is survived by two sons, David R. Carnes and wife, Joellen, of Marysville, Wash., and Arthur R. Carnes III and wife, Dora, or Moore Haven, Fla.; twin daughters, DeAun Tait and husband, James, of Cordell, Okla., and Debra Wolfshorndl and husband, Roger, of Kalispell; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, with a set of twins on the way to make 20. Private graveside services will be held. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pinehaven Christian Children s Ranch and School, P.O. Box 940, St. Ignatius, MT 59865-0940.
