Driver injured in rollover accident
Three passing motorists watch over an injured man until help arrives at the scene of a one-car accident Wednesday on U.S. 93 near Happy Valley. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old driver was southbound in a Chevrolet Trailblazer at about 4:30 p.m. when veered off the road, overcorrected, and rolled across the northbound lanes of traffic. The driver, who was thrown from the vehicle, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. He was the car's only occupant. What caused the man to lose control of the vehicle is under investigation. Tickets are pending, the patrol said.

Kalispell police tracked down a black GMC Envoy reportedly traveling all over the road north of town, then traveling at more than 90 mph in the center lane of U.S. 93 near the armory, and ended up ticketing a girl who was not licensed to drive. The vehicle was parked near Russell School, and her mother picked up the keys at the police station.

Flathead County sheriff's deputies discovered that what had been reported as a domestic dispute at a vehicle on U.S. 93 just south of Majestic Valley Arena Sunday evening was resolved by the man and woman by the time authorities arrived. The call had first come in to Kalispell police, who were told there was an altercation on the roadside, then the woman had gotten back in the car and drove off as the man stayed behind.
