An Appleway Drive man's estranged wife showed up at the house asking for the return of a piece of jewelry. The man offered to hand it over, but only if she signed a receipt. When Kalispell police were notified, the man was holed up in a bedroom and the woman was banging and kicking at the door. Officers separated the pair.

Kalispell police cited a 45-year-old man for theft after he used the pool facilities at a hotel on U.S. 93 South without paying. Less than three hours later, they arrested the same man for trespass after he was found intoxicated and passed out on a couch in the Kalispell Center Mall.
