The host Bravettes won their own triangular track and field meet at Legends Stadium Tuesday, winning four individual events and one relay on the way to 64 points. Defending AA champion Missoula Sentinel was next with 59 ½, and Missoula Hellgate was two points further back.

One of Flathead’s finest native sons, Ronald W. (Ron) Lyford left his beloved Montana to “go to a more beautiful home in heaven” on March 8, 2017, at his home while surrounded by his family; he was 86.

Charlemagne Chuck Joseph L'Allier, Jr., 79
Charlemagne "Chuck" Joseph L'Allier, Jr., 79, passed away Thursday July 26, 2007, at his home in Whitefish. Chuck was born March 16, 1928, in St. Paul, Minn., to Charlemagne Joseph Sr., and Edonne (Connors) L'Allier. He attended Flathead County High School until he enlisted in the Navy in 1945 at 17 years of age.
Dolores M. Young, 89
On Sept. 10, 2007, at 4:10 a.m., Dolores M. Young, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson. Dolores was born on May 20, 1918, in Crosby, N.D., to Knute and Lulu Huso. She grew up in the oil fields of Kevin and Shelby. The family then moved to Kalispell where she graduated from Flathead County High School. Dolores later attended business school in Spokane.
Grace Weaver, 73
Grace Weaver passed away, after a nine-year battle with breast cancer, on Oct. 5, 2007, at her home in Kalispell, surrounded by her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mom and grandma, and a wonderful friend and teacher who will be greatly missed.

Cynthia Lynn Richards, 43, passed peacefully "into heaven" at her home in Woods Bay, out of Bigfork this past weekend.
