Roy Alfred Johnson, 87

Roy Alfred Johnson, 87, went to be with his wife Marge on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, while at Park Place in Denver. He was born Aug. 31, 1922, in West Hartford, Conn., the third of four children. He attended Hall High School and enlisted in the Army during World War II. Coming home, he married his high school sweetheart, Marge Hall. He worked for Sunshine Biscuits and later for Connecticut Mutual Life. He was a friendly man, always ready with a Howdy and a good story. He loved his family and life in general. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Jester of Bigfork; and his children, Bruce, Steven, Susan and Peter. A memorial for Roy and Marge will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at Community United Methodist Church in Bigfork, with a celebration of their lives following at 2:30 p.m. at the Eagle Bend Yacht Harbor.
