Flathead County Sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's Office dispatched North Valley and Flathead search-and-rescue teams to help find two people missing overnight in the Jewel Basin. The 47-year-old man and 14-year-old boy went fishing at Wild Cat Lake on Monday and hadn't returned by late Monday night. They reportedly went through an area closed to visitors for helicopter logging. The pair were found, unhurt, Tuesday morning in the Wounded Buck area. They were reportedly overcome by darkness Monday night and decided to stay where they were until daylight.
