Slow-moving driver was having eye issues
Someone decided to call Kalispell Police Department after seeing a man driving slowly in opposite lanes and blocking traffic on Northridge Drive. The caller spoke to the man, who reportedly was looking for the veterans “hospital” and headed onto U.S. 93. Dispatchers asked the caller to ask the man if he was having a medical emergency, to which the caller replied “he took off, man he’s ancient!” Medical assistance was requested for the elder, who was reportedly having issues with his eyes. Medical officers cleared the man, and police tried to follow home “a little ways” because the man reportedly didn’t have alternative means to get home.
From 4 lanes to just two
It looks as if the proposed four-lane Kalispell bypass initially will be built as a two-lane highway.
