Evicted tenant moves more stuff in

The landlord of a Solberg Drive residence called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after noticing a woman - who had been evicted and given until the end of the month to move out - was moving stuff onto, not off of, the property. Deputies counseled both parties.

A Columbia Falls-area resident reported the unauthorized use of their vehicle. A woman, who reportedly had a key but wasn't on the registration, is accused of taking the car without permission. Later, Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Columbia Falls Stage Road when the person who reported the car missing allegedly was threatened.

When Flathead County Sheriff's deputies stopped to check out a man and two girls outside a car dealership on U.S. 2 in Evergreen, one of the women bolted. Deputies tracked her down and discovered she had been reported as a runaway.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were called to a disturbance on Montana 206. A woman was supposed to remove some horses from the property but reportedly failed to do so by the agreed-upon time, resulting in an altercation between her and the property owner.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to Elk Park Road to settle an argument between a father and son, both of whom were intoxicated. Turns out the son had a warrant out of Columbia Falls, so he was arrested.

A man who brought his truck into a shop on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell for maintenance work told an employee he shot the last mechanic who overcharged him in the head and buried him.

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies took a woman to jail after she fought with another woman at a home on U.S. 93 south of Kalispell. One of the women had called back after the initial call for help, saying there was no need for a deputy to quell what turned out to be a physical and verbal fight.

A Lakeside man told Flathead County sheriff's deputies that someone broke the lock off his shop and took a pick to the door handle. A refrigerator was missing. He suspects the ex-wife.

A Trails End Drive woman told Flathead County sheriff's deputies she was receiving harassing phone calls from a local phone company and wanted the calls to stop. The company had the wrong number and her account was paid up, she said. Turns out the woman's son gave her number as a secondary contact for billing questions. Phone company officials told deputies the calls would stop when the bill got paid.

Several bones of unknown origin were found near a slough around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff's deputies tracked the suspects in a Columbia Falls backpack theft to the Hungry Horse area, where they ended up arresting a 34-year-old person of interest on suspicion of drug possession. While patting the man down for dangerous items before an interview, deputies found meth in his pocket.

After a number of meetings, workshops and postponed planning board hearings, Riverdale community members had good reason to hope their proposed neighborhood plan would get a verdict from the Flathead County Planning Board on Thursday night.
