Evicted tenant moves more stuff in
The landlord of a Solberg Drive residence called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after noticing a woman - who had been evicted and given until the end of the month to move out - was moving stuff onto, not off of, the property. Deputies counseled both parties.

A Columbia Falls-area resident reported the unauthorized use of their vehicle. A woman, who reportedly had a key but wasn't on the registration, is accused of taking the car without permission. Later, Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Columbia Falls Stage Road when the person who reported the car missing allegedly was threatened.

When Flathead County Sheriff's deputies stopped to check out a man and two girls outside a car dealership on U.S. 2 in Evergreen, one of the women bolted. Deputies tracked her down and discovered she had been reported as a runaway.

The company had the wrong number and her account was paid up, she said. Turns out the woman's son gave her number as a secondary contact for billing questions. Phone company officials told deputies the calls would stop when the bill got paid.

Flathead County sheriff's deputies tracked the suspects in a Columbia Falls backpack theft to the Hungry Horse area, where they ended up arresting a 34-year-old person of interest on suspicion of drug possession. While patting the man down for dangerous items before an interview, deputies found meth in his pocket.

Road crews will begin striping West Reserve Drive between U.S. 2 and U.S. 93 today and Saturday. Significant traffic delays are expected. Drivers should choose an alternate route if possible.
