Crews fight blaze at Point of Rocks restaurant

Firefighters responded to a structure Tuesday evening at the Point of Rocks Restaurant and Lounge about 25 miles north of Whitefish on U.S. 93.

A loader bucket dumps rocks into a narrow deep ditch while Knife River worker Chris Freeto helps build a French drain underneath the Stillwater River bridge on U.S. 93 near West Reserve Drive on Tuesday. The Montana Department of Transportation determined the bridge was "too bumpy" due to water that accumulated in the soil underneath the bridge. The system installed Tuesday will help solve the water problem.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a hotel on U.S. 93 South where a 39-year-old man allegedly tried to commit suicide by injecting himself with bleach. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to an accident at the intersection of U.S. 93 and Montana 40. No one was injured.

Whitefish

Whitefish police responded to a convenience store on U.S. 93 for what was reported as an assault. A woman claimed a man had pushed her out of his truck, causing her to crack her head on the way out. The man claimed he was trying to keep the woman in the truck, even going so far as to hold her in the jacket, and that she pulled away anyway and must have hit her head in the fall. No one was arrested.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police arrested a man, 34, for possession of dangerous drugs, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after a disturbance on U.S. 93 South late Sunday.

The Kalispell Fire Department sent an ambulance Wednesday

to an accident with injuries on Main Street and to an accident with injuries on U.S. 93 and Sunnyview Lane.

Idaho Street work

Road work started Tuesday on the reconstruction of West Idaho Street in Kalispell. The project will resurface from just west of U.S. 93 to just east of Meridian Road as well as pour new gutters and curbs. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Kalispell, Montana.

Fireworks For Sale

From right, Michael Foot, 11, Daniel Johnson, 10 and Janice Foot, all of Kalispell, wave to passing vehicles trying to draw customers to their TNT Fireworks stand on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 93 directly across from Murdoch's. The stand is a fundraiser for the Helena Flats School. According to Janice Foot they are happy with the response so far and are considering making this an annual fundraiser.
