Several firearms were taken from a car parked at a plumbing business in the 2900 block of U.S. 2; a rifle was stolen from a car in the 200 block of West Arbour Drive; a window was broken out of a car in the 2100 block of Mission Trail Road but nothing appeared to be missing; medication and a purse were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 1700 block of South Woodland Avenue; and a vehicle in the 200 block of East Arbour Drive was rifled through. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies would like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked and valuables hidden.

Cornelia Clack Graham, 95, died peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Kalispell Regional Hospital, after a mild heart attack. She was born April 22, 1912, in Havre, the only daughter of Philip David and Cornelia (Timmons) Clack. Her parents were Texas natives and she always valued her Southern roots. In Havre, she was active in the Order of Rainbow for Girls, many school music programs and sports, including girl's basketball.
Eldora Winifred Dora (Miles) Morrow, 90
Eldora Winifred "Dora" (Miles) Morrow, 90, a long time resident of Whitefish, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, Jan. 31, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Nursing Home. She was born to Joseph Alfred and Pearl (Noel) Miles in Polson, April 2, 1917.

Officials investigate dead grizzly
Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks game wardens found a dead female grizzly bear last week near the north fork of the Big Creek drainage. Based on the level of decomposition, the bear appears to have been dead for some time, according to Warden Captain Lee Anderson. The cause of death, which is as yet still unknown, is under investigation.
